“RED SPIDER” SHOOTING AT ALVERNIA STUDIOS
The last scenes for the new feature film, under the working title “Red Spider”, have just been completed at ALVERNIA STUDIOS. The film, directed by Marcin Koszałka, is MD4’s most recent production.
The “death barrel roll” motorcycle stunts were shot in the biggest sound stage in Poland, the famous K04, with its 2000 m² (~ 21 505 ft²) of available shooting space. Building the film set and performing rehearsals took 4 days.
“Red Spider” is a feature-film debut of the respected documentary film-maker and cinematographer, Marcin Koszałka. It is inspired by the story of the serial killer from Kraków, who perpetrated his crimes in the 1960s. The main characters in the film are portrayed by Filip Pławiak, Adam Woronowicz, Małgorzata Foremniak and Julia Kijowska. The screenplay is based on the original script by Marta Szreder, entitled “Lolo”, awarded at the 2009 edition of the “Trzy Korony – Małopolska Nagroda Filmowa” competition [“Three Crowns – The Małopolska Film Prize]. The film premiere is planned for autumn 2014.
