Legendary film critic Roger Ebert has announced his top 10 movies of the year. Among the best films in 2012 you will find “Arbitrage” – co-produced by Alvernia Studios – at the 5th position.

Richard Gere has been nominated for the Golden Globe Award, for his performance in the movie “Arbitrage”. It is following success of this movie co-produced by Alvernia Studios, after being successfully presented at the Sundance and San Sebastian festivals. The movie was produced in New York City and Alwernia near Krakow.

Richard Gere, thanks to his daring performance in the thriller “Arbitrage”, co-produced by Alvernia Studios, is considered to be a serious candidate for an Oscar nomination.

The recording of music for an international production “Closer to the Moon” (directed by Nae Caranfil) has finished at Alvernia Studios.

66 musicians from the Aukso orchestra, jazz and klezmer solo artists participated in the project.

Piotr Witkowski, Sebastian Włodarczyk and Bartłomiej Bogacki from Alvernia Studios have received a Special Award for “the artistry of sound in a documentary form” at the Documentary Forms Festival Nurt 2012, for their work in the movie “Crulic – the path to beyond” directed by Anca Damian.
