India’s violin icon recording in Alvernia Studios
LakshminarayanaSubramaniam, named India’s violin icon, recorded in Alvernia Studios themusic for Indian film production “Gaur Hari Dastaan” (directed by Ananth Mahadevan).
L. Subramaniam is the only violinist in the world who plays carnatic classical Indian music, western classical music, in the orchestra and solo, as well as composes and conducts world’s biggest orchestras.
He was nominated for Grammy Award for “Indian Classical Music” album. He cooperated with the greatest Indian and western musicians. His memorable performances include recordings with Yehudi Menuhin, Stephane Grapelli, Jean-Pierre Rampal, Steven Seagal, Ruggiero Ricci, Arve Tellefsen, Herbie Hancock, Joe Sample, Stanley Clarke, George Duke, Al Jarreau, Jean Luc Ponty, Earl Klugh, Larry Corryel, Corky Seagal, Tony Williams, Billy Cobham, John Surman,Maynard Ferguson and Ravi Coltrane.
L. Subramaniam play was supported by the pianist Piotr Steczek. Piotr Witkowski the Head of Sound Department at Alvernia Studios supervised the recording.
