MIASTO 44 AND ITS STREAK OF SUCCESSES AT THE 39th FILM FESTIVAL IN GDYNIA

Over 3000 hours spent on sound editing, more than ten months of work, up to 20 parallel sound channels on the film set and 5 weeks of mixing the final version at ALVERNIA STUDIOS – this is how the soundtrack of MIASTO 44 was created. The jury of the 39th Gdynia Film Festival recognized the work performed by sound engineers in MIASTO 44, by awarding the film in the  sound category. Bartosz Putkiewicz and Daniel Pellerin were in charge of sound production.

The sound for Miasto 44 was finalized by Daniel Pellerin, Bartosz Putkiewicz and Sebastian Włodarczyk at ALVERNIA STUDIOS – more specifically, its famous K7 final mix studio. The final layer of sound, created from over 400 source-channels took five weeks to complete, during which, a special 2.1 version was prepared for the premiere screening of the film at the National Stadium in Warsaw (witnessed by 12 thousand people, which is the Polish, if not international, record for an outdoor film screening) and the final cinema version in the 5.1 format.
MIASTO 44 won three statuettes and two special awards at the 39th Gdynia Film Festival. The film was awarded in the following categories: lead actress, special effects and sound.
ALVERNIA STUDIOS was involved in the project by ensuring the necessary services like physical production, film laboratory, film dailies, transfer and 4K film scanning, music recording and mix as well as final mix.
